過去進行時

　　1.概念：過去進行時表示在過去某一時間正在進行的動作。

　　2.構成：過去進行時由“was／were 現在分詞”構成。was用于主語是第一人稱及第三人稱單數的句子中，were用于主語是第二人稱及其他人稱複數的句子中

　　。3.過去進行時的基本句型(1)肯定句:主語 was／were 現在分詞 其他.She was playing the piano at 6 a.m.yesterday.昨天早上6點她正在彈鋼琴。(2)否定句:主語 was／were not 現在分詞 其他.We weren't listening to music at that time.那時我們沒在聽音樂。(3)一般疑問句:Was／Were 主語 現在分詞 其他?—Were you working on the farm at that moment?那時你們正在農場工作嗎?—Yes,we were.／No，we weren't.是的，我們在工作。／不，我們沒在工作。(4)特殊疑問句:疑問詞 一般疑問句?What were you doing then?那時你們在做什麼?

　　4.過去進行時的基本用法(1)表示過去某一時刻正在進行的動作。時間狀語通常比較具體，如at 6 o'clock yesterday morning，at the time from 8 to 9 last Sunday，at this time last night等。My mother was cooking at seven yesterday evening.昨天晚上7點我母親正在做飯。(2)表示過去某一段時間内正在進行的動作。She was reading a book all the morning.整個上午她都在讀書。(3)用于含when或while引導的時間狀語從句的主從複合句的主句或從句中。The Greens were having supper when I knocked at the door.我敲門時，格林一家正在吃晚飯。While I was walking in the park，I met Mr Zhang.我在公園散步時，遇見了張先生。

　　5.過去進行時與一般過去時的區别過去進行時強調動作在過去某一時刻或某一段時間内正在進行，而一般過去時表示在過去某個時間發生過的動作或存在過的狀态，強調動作已完成。He was writing his composition last night.他昨晚在寫作文。(不一定寫完)He wrote his composition last night.他昨晚寫了一篇作文。(已經寫完)
